Sulawesi Island is the main origin of the iconic Patchouli from Indonesia, after decades of this crop progressively moving from his original homeland in Aceh, towards the eastern parts of the archipelago.
Originating from the forests of Indonesia, this perfume is a multi sensorial mix of earth, woods and spices that has a distinctive accord with its own signature. It pays tribute to one of the most precious lands on earth for Perfumery.
Ingredients from plants growing in Indonesia : essential oil and molecular distillation extracts of patchouli , nutmeg essential oil, vetiver Java essential oil, benzoin Sumatra absolute, and clove buds essential oil.
Other key ingredients : Cedarwood Texas and Virginia essential oils

At the age of 12, Nicolas Bonneville fell under the spell of perfumery during a trip to Grasse, discovering a deep vocation for scents. Captivated by the art of fragrance creation, Nicolas travelled the world to learn from the masters of the industry. His travels have taken him to India to help harvest jasmine sambac, to Italy for mandarin and bergamot, to Florence for iris, and to Tunisia to pick orange blossom.
Using his expertise, Nicolas has helped create fragrances for a diverse range of brands, including Acqua di Parma (Note di Colonia III), Affinessence (Cedre Iris, Patchouli Oud, Combava Cedrat), Givenchy (Encens Divin), Jo Malone (Rose Blush Cologne), and Dries Van Noten.
No additives (no colors, UV filters, stabilizers).
The color of the fragrance comes from natural ingredients and may evolve over time.

Nilam cultivation has settled all over the country, a land gifted with volcanic soils, and warm and humid climates. It grows in small plots in combination with other crops, and in rotation for soils to regenerate.
Indonesia provides the highest quality of Patchouli essential oils. SULAWESI contains a high dosage of a premium patchouli extracted by molecular distillation as well as patchouli essence.
Pogostemon cablin leaves are harvested three times a year, dried under shade, and are then distilled directly in farming communities. This activity provides a living for over 20 000 Indonesian families. Sulawesi island is today the main origin.
Styrax benzoin trees are naturally present in the dense forests of Sumatra, in traditional inherited lands. Collected gums are valued for their fragrant properties. This tradition has a strong cultural importance due to the beliefs linked to the use of incenses.
SULAWESI includes Benzoin Sumatra, to complement the profile with ambery facets for this woody fragrance dominated by patchouli, ambox and muscs.
In Sumatra, harvesters of benzoin spend days in the forest tapping trees. With this long tradition inherited from their ancestors, local harvesters act as guardians of the native forests of North Sumatra.
Myristica fragrans is indigenous from Moluccas. It grows well in hot and humid climates, in areas with clay and sandy loam. In Moluccas and Sulawesi, fruits are harvested mature, while in Aceh and Java, fruits are collected young, which is more suitable for steam distillation.
Essential oils of nutmeg is an important ingredient found in fine fragrances. SULAWESI contains a rectified oil that brings a balsamic note to reinforce the amber facets of the fragrance.
Smallholders who cultivate nutmeg trees in plantations have been making a living for several generations. To make essential oil, fruits harvested are sun dried, crushed and distilled in villages.
