Provence fragrance pays tribute to the cultivation of aromatics that happens in the high parts of this region, called Haute Provence, around the Durance Valley, famous for the Lavender fields.
The fragrance includes the most important aromatic plants of the region for fine fragrances.
Ingredients from plants growing in Provence: lavender (Diva variety) essential oil, lavandin essential oil and absolute, clary sage essential oil and absolute, hyssop essential oil, coriander essential oil. Lavender and lavandin have been included with equal proportion of essential oil and concrete, and at high dosages. The Diva variety of lavender is the higher quality of lavander with very floral, fresh and aromatic notes. Clary sage essential oil and absolute bring warmth, while coriander seeds essential oil bring freshness in a bouquet of spices. All these plants, iconic to this beautiful French terroir.

NATURAL INGREDIENTS FROM THE ORIGIN
Lavender was described by French writer Giono as 'the Soul of Provence'. Originally harvested wild, it is now mainly cultivated in the rocky hills west of Durance River.
‘Diva’ is a clonal lavender obtained through natural breeding selections. PROVENCE contains a high dosage of this essential oil, considered as the premium quality of lavender with very floral, fresh and aromatic notes.
Diva is attractive for local farmers thanks to its resilience to pests as well as for its high productivity.
Clary sage is endemic to Provence. The plant grows well in the dry, clayey and drained soils of the region. The cultivation is regaining popularity amongst farmers of Haute Provence.
Salvia Sclarea plant is extracted as essential oil or absolute for fine fragrances and brings aromatic, fruity and earthy notes. PROVENCE contains absolute extracts of clary sage for the warmth as well as essential oil for fresher notes.
This culture is now economically attractive and can be cultivated in rotation with other crops such as lavandin and cereals, to evolve into a resilient farming model and allow soils to regenerate.
Native to the hills of Provence, hyssop has been celebrated by the first civilizations as a sacred plant that is a symbol of purity.
The essential oil of hysope decumbens is used in aromatherapy while hysope officinalis is used in fine fragrance compositions like in PROVENCE, for its aromatic profile.
This Mediterranean plant grows very well in the dry soils of Provence, even in very rocky places than have very thin layers of soil. Today, its cultivation in the region remains relatively confidential.
