Tierra Maya celebrates two fascinating ingredients which are iconic to Central America in the perfumer palette : Peru Balsam and Cardamom.
Peru balsam resin can only be found in El Salvador; it is harvested on the “Costa Balsamera.” thanks to an ancestral know-how, transmitted from generation to generation. Cardamom is cultivated across Guatemala, known to offer the most premium quality of this spice.
Ingredients from plants growing in central america : green cardamom superfluid extract and Peru balsam (baume Pérou) resinoid.
Peru Balsam plays the central role in Tierra Maya, bringing gravitas and depth in a modern amber accord, faceted with muscs and premium natural ingredients extracts.
Superfluid extracts of green cardamom are included in a bouquet of cold and warm spices that signs the fragrance. A duo of the best rose extracts finishes the fragrances and give an addictive note.
Other key ingredients : rose damascena concrete, rose centifolia superfluid extract, cinnamon bark essential oil, Cedar Virginia essential oil.

The highest qualities of cardamom are found in Guatemala. The altitude, the climate, and the rich soils are perfectly suited for the Elettaria cardamomum. It grows in small plantations under the shade of local forests.
Cardamom extracts bring radiant, green, cold spice top notes in fine fragrances. TIERRA MAYA contains a superfluid extract of green cardamom, the highest quality of extract in the perfumer palette.
During the harvest, Cerezas are delicately hand-picked and immediately dried. Most of the production is sold for the spice market. This activity provides a livelihood for 350 000 smallholders across the whole country.
Peru balsam is a natural resin coming from the Myroxylon balsamum, a tree native to central america, that can be found only in the costa balsamera, in the south coast of El Salvador.
Peru Balsam has vanilla and leather facets that bring gravitas to ambery fragrances. TIERRA MAYA contains purified Peru balsam absolute that gives depth to the muscs present in the fragrance.
Harvesting of balsam relies on ancestral know-how, that is transmitted from generation to generation. This ingredient used to be exported from Peru, hence its name.
